Using RMark to extract information from MARK output?

Postby dnonne » Wed Jun 12, 2013 7:39 pm

Hi all,

Quick question, and I would like to preface it by acknowledging that I've only spent about a day or so messing around with RMark, so it's probably pretty basic.

I've developed a series of input files (~100) of simulated data in a known fate format. I couldn't quite get things to run correctly using RMark, so I ran each input file in regular MARK. Relatively simple stuff, 5 models in each of the 100 input files. However, now the fun part is collecting/organizing the results of each of the analyses. So, the question is, is it possible to code RMark, or R in general, to extract the necessary information (i.e., model results & parameter estimates+variance for each model)from MARK output (dbf + fpt files)?

Thanks in advance.

Only if you constructed the models with RMark; otherwise no. --jeff

Thanks for the reply, Jeff. Brute force it is then.
