Link function 'log-log' in E-Surge

Postby marie nevoux » Wed Jun 01, 2011 2:50 am

Hello,

I am working on a model with 3 transitions and state uncertainty in E-Surge.
I need to use the link loglog (to fit gompertz and weibull survival models), but it seems that this link function is not available in E-Surge?
Is there any solution to this?

Sincerely,

Marie

Hello Marie,
The log-log link is not currently implemented in E-SURGE.
But next version of E-Surge(under test) will be able to fit continuous function,
see the folowing paper:

Choquet Rémi, Viallefont Anne, Rouan Lauriane, Gaanoun Kamel, Gaillard Jean-Michel (In press). "A semi-Markov model to assess reliably survival patterns from birth to death in free-ranging populations". Methods in Ecology and Evolution.

Sincerely,
Rémi
