problems generating expected m_array in MSURGE

I've recently downloaded a new version of MSURGE (on a different computer) because my old version was giving me crazy answers. I am trying to generate expected m arrays. I get all the way to the point where MSURGE asks me for my release file, and then MSURGE just shuts down (says it experienced an error and had to close). I've never had this problem before, and I'm using the same release and encounter history files as I've used in the past. Any thoughts?
