Program SURGE (SURvival Generalized Estimation) is one of the most commonly used software applications for the analysis of mark-recapture data. It is a very flexible and powerful program which allows you to do virtually unlimited model fitting and hypothesis testing for mark-recapture data.

SURGE is available for both DOS and Windows-based computers. Current development is on the Windows version only. The Windows version runs fine under Windows 3.xx, or Win95/NT.
