Another mrk****z.tmp issue

Postby timkdavies » Wed May 20, 2009 6:50 pm

Hi,

I use an Mac and am running MARK in a virtual machine VMWare Fusion with Windows XP Pro. My issue is that I cannot view the results - it gives me an error regarding mrk****z.tmp.

I have also found exactly the same issue when using MARK on my PC. However, with this machine it sometimes works fine, but other times shows the mrk****z.tmp error.

Sometimes the .tmp file is created (I can see it when I open my working directory) - but not every time! Why is this?!

It makes no difference if I run the MARK.exe file as Administrator.

Can anyone help??

Cheers,
Tim

SOLVED

I seemed to have solved this problem myself. For those also running MARK on a Mac and run into this issue, the following very easy fix should sort it:

When using a working directory to save and store MARK files, this has to be on the Virtual Machine's own C: drive, and not one the shared virtual drive (i.e. not where you'd store the files if you were using Finder)

Job done.
