Postby Guillaume Souchay » Wed May 24, 2017 3:07 am

Dear all,

Please find a job offer at the French National Hunting and Wildlife Agency (ONCFS) in Juvignac (close to Montpellier, France), description is in French.
The ONCFS department of research includes several research units: ungulates, migratory birds, predators-depredators species, wildlife safety unit and the small sedentary species units. The current offer is in the small sedentary species unit, in particular about the population dynamics of galliform species, with a special interest to the Red-legged partridge (Alectoris rufa). Later, a more general interest for both mountain and plains species is planed.
Several projects have to be developed such as sampling design to estimate breeding parameters during summer. A current project involves integrated population model that will need to be developed to take into account several external covariates (hunting pressure, climate, etc.).

Deadline for application is 30th June 2017.

Feel free to contact me (it was my former position), Françoise Ponce-Boutin (leader of the Red-legged partridge project) or François Reitz (leader of the research unit on small sedentary species).
