The Department of Ecoscience, Aarhus University, invites applications for a full-time researcher position (tenure track), focusing on demographic modelling of the expected impact of human activities on bird populations.

Expected start date and duration of employment
This is a full-time position starting on 1 November 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Job description
The candidate will be part of a research team focusing on the assessment of impacts of human activities on wildlife, specifically birds. Major tasks will include contributing to existing externally funded projects on sustainability of hunting, adaptive management and on impacts of expansion of offshore wind on bird populations. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of Integrated Population Models as a management tool.

In addition, the candidate will be expected to develop externally funded projects within their field of expertise, and to contribute to the department’s public consultancy activities.
