Description: The successful applicant will be responsible for evaluating survival of largemouth bass captured during fishing tournaments. Project will be a continuation of a large-scale mark-recapture project initiated in 2015. The student will attend bass tournaments, track fish with radio telemetry, conduct electrofishing surveys and supervise field technicians, conduct data analysis, prepare reports, and write manuscripts for publication.

Qualifications: A B.S. degree in fisheries, wildlife, ecology, statistics or related field and fieldwork experience. Candidates with demonstrated written and oral communication skills and strong academic credentials and work ethic are preferred. Strong quantitative and computer-based skills in modeling and statistics and prior experience in population dynamics and mark-recapture analysis are highly desirable. Candidates must be highly motivated, and physically capable and willing to work long hours in demanding outdoor conditions.
