Problem installing MATLAB libraries

Postby Morten Frederiksen » Wed Mar 11, 2015 4:39 am

When I download the most recent 64-bit version of the MATLAB libraries (v 7.17) from http://www.cefe.cnrs.fr/fr/ressources/logiciels/34-french/recherche/bc/bbp/264-logiciels and try to install it, I get the message that '... MCRInstaller_M_7_17_x64.exe is not a valid Win32 application' . Also, the file size is about 125 MB instead of 353 MB as it appears it should be.

I should add that the machine I'm trying to install is a brand-new ('virgin') Windows PC, 64-bit Windows 7, 16 GB RAM.

Any idea what the problem is?

I recently had similar trouble. I ended up downloading the Matlab files from the Matlab website, then getting U-Care from the French language site. Then, I had trouble opening U-Care from the desktop short cut. I ended up having to open the application in the program file folder that does NOT have 64 in the title. I assume this is therefore the 32 bit version, but it doesn't matter to me. I created a new shortcut to that application. Good luck.

Thanks for the hint, that worked!

If anybody else runs into this problem, MATLAB Runtime 7.17 (or any other version) can be downloaded here :http://se.mathworks.com/products/compiler/mcr/
