ESURGE v1.8.5 Matlab_crash_dump

Postby matt_wood » Fri Oct 21, 2011 5:27 am

When 'calling all phrases' in GEMACO, I receive the familiar message "constrained matrix not well defined", but this occurs when using a simple CJS model, so I don't think this is a mistake with the model syntax. Program running as administrator, .out file association done, data file ok in UCARE.

DOS window indicates a "matlab_crash_dump". ESURGE then appears to freeze. Message includes the following:
--
Abnormal termination:
Segmentation violation
[127 lines of code relating to .dll files]
This error was detected while a MEX-file was running. If the MEX-file is not an official MathWorks function, please examine its source code for errors.
--

Research online suggests this error can result from running 64bit Matlab on 32bit machines (mine is 32bit). Is this helpful for a solution - use 32bit Matlab (not sure what version I downloaded from CEFE), or use a 64 bit machine?

Crash dump file available if anyone would like to see it.

Thanks, in advance.

Hello,
this is a 32bit version, 64 bit version will coming soon.
This bug is very strange and occur sometimes after a bad sentence in GEMACO.
Did you write the following sentence ?
transition : t
event : firste+nexte.t
Sincerely,
Rémi
