I think you want the unconditional psi's for estimating the proportion of area occupied. The conditional psi's are mainly used for creating maps as they are the probabilities of occupancy for each site, given the site's detection history (ie., any site with >= 1 detection will have conditional psi = 1.0).
You can get the conditional psi's in RPresence by printing the variable: x$real$psi_c, where 'x' is the result of the occMod function call ( eg., x<-occMod(list(psi~1,theta~1,p~DEVICE, type='so.mm',data=pao)).
One last thing, I found a bug in the single-season, multi-method model and have updated Presence and RPresence, so please download the latest version (12.21).
