Cumulative logit link in SURGE

Postby Roberto » Tue Feb 04, 2014 12:45 pm

Hi,
First of all, this is my first post in phidot and I would like to congratulate all experts on CR who help beginners like me unselfishly through the forum.
I would liket to know if there is any way of modelling parameters with monotonically trend (e.g., apparent survival: s1>=s2>=s3) in SURGE like the CLogit function in MARK (Chapter 6.8.1, Edition 12).
Thank you in advance.

Regards

Roberto

Hello,

There is no way in E-SURGE to constraint s1>=s2>=s3.
The Clogit is not currently implemented.
However in our case, I think that the best is to model survival with a trend function of time or age.
In that case, it is easy to implement a trend in E-SURGE (or in Mark)
with a phrase like "i+t*x" (an intercept and a slope).

Sincerely
