Gemaco, shotcuts + additive effect

Postby Gourlay » Sat Sep 08, 2012 7:49 am

Hi,

I am working in E-SURGE and I have 5 states and 4 events.

I have 6 groups and I create 2 shortcuts: "adult" and "juvenil"

I have 14 occasions

I have some trouble to write GEMACO sentences in my transition matrix for additivity with my shortcuts ([f(1 3,2,4).t(1:2:13)+t(2:2:12)]+[adult+juvenil]) whereas all seem good for interaction ([f(1 3,2,4).t(1:2:13)+t(2:2:12)].[adult+juvenil])

I.e. I want to get 4 estimates for adult (f(1 3,2,4).t(1:2:13) and t(2:2:12)) and one supplementary estimate for juvenil (additive effect).

Thanks in advance for your help,

Marie-Lucile

Hello Marie-Lucile,
The possible problem could be the ppresence of several parameters on rows.
This can destroy the additive effect.
Otherwise, this seem to be fine (I have however some difficulty to judge because
of the lack of information).

Hello Rémi,

I have only one parameter by row.

In fact,in the IVFV I have 5 parameters for my transition matrix. The 4 first parameters seem good but wheraes the last parameter should be for "juvenil" (G=2), the IVFV give all parameters for "adult" (G=1)

Hello Marie-Lucile,

This is not a problem. Gemaco has removed automatically a redundant parameter (the last one
for juvenile).
If you want to change this, use the sentence :

"f(1 3,2,4).t(1:2:13)+t(2:2:12)+juvenil+adult" or for short "f(1 3,2,4).t(1:2:13)+t(2:2:12)+juvenil"
