coding encounter rate under new version

Postby amillon » Mon Dec 27, 2010 11:21 am

Hi everybody,

I've just switched to the new release of E-Surge but came across some problems to re-utilise my old lines of code.
In particular, when coding for the encounter rates.
E.g. this line of code with the previous version

firste+nexte(1:26).[nexte(1, 2 3, 4:26) +t]

makes (or made) recapture rates time-dependent but with different intercepts according to 3 age classes.
On Remi's website, there is a powerpoint pointing out the main features of the new version. On this basis, I've tried under the new version is following:

firste+nexte.[a(1, 2 3, 4:17) + t]

But I can't get the same results, although the number of parameters looks fine. Are these two lines of code equivalent?
Could anyone propose me a solution to get these age+time-dependent estimates?

merry Xmas to all !

Alex,

firste+nexte(1:26).[nexte(1, 2 3, 4:26) +t] should be now written

firste+nexte.[a(2, 3 4, 5:27) +t]

The keyword nexte starts from the second age class of p (the first recapture),

the first age class is the first capture.
