M-SURGE problems

Postby csasso » Fri Sep 28, 2007 1:17 pm

Hi All,

I am trying to use M-SURGE but am not able to get the program to function properly on my XP computer. I have installed the libraries, U-CARE, and M-SURGE. U-CARE works fine.

When I open M-SURGE, I call the data and I get the following message in the DOS window:

Warning: Could not find an exact (case-sensitive) match for "Group_data'. C:\Program Files\M-SURGE 1.8.1\MsurgeV1_8_1_mcr\Remi.dir\remi.msurgeV1-8\source\group_data.m is a case-insensitive match and will be used instead. You can improve the performance of your code by using exact name matches and we therefore recommend that you update your usage accordingly. Alternatively, you can disable this warning using warning('off','MATLAB:dispatcher:InexactMatch').

I change the Group Value to the correct number (n=2), make the appropriate selections from the Models and Settings menus and try to open GEMACO, which is highlighted and appears active, but nothing happens. The GEMACO window will not open. I have un-installed the programs and re-installed with no luck. I have also specified that any .out file be opened with Wordpad.

Any suggestions on what is going wrong with my installation of M-SURGE?

Thank you,
Chris

Hello Chris,

I think that the reason why the GEMACO interface didn't appears, is
that you try to use the separate formulation of the CAS model with
a single state data set. This has not possible because transitions have
no meaning in that case.
To avoid this problem, select the combined formulation of the CAS model in the sub-menu <<Models>> before calling GEMACO.
