Version 2.1.0 of secr, the R package for spatially explicit capture-recapture, is now available on CRAN.
secr 2.1.0 adds several functions for compound sampling designs, especially those in which clusters of detectors are used to sample a large region. Function region.N() calculates the expected number of individuals in a user-defined region, using a fitted secr model. New capability is added by specific utility functions (e.g., circular.r(), for quantiles of a circular bivariate distributions, writeGPS() to upload detector coordinates), and through new arguments for existing functions and methods. Several minor bugs are fixed, and ip.secr() is working again. See NEWS at http://CRAN.R-project.org/package=secr for a complete list of changes.
