Multi-session analysis AND mask

Postby ctlamb » Tue May 02, 2017 9:56 pm

Hello,

I am looking to conduct a multi-session analysis conducted over five years. The trap grids are non-overlapping, however, the masks will be due to the ranging behaviour of the study animal:

I have an annual variable that I want to assign to each session, and am unclear how to do this, as in the overlapping areas the mask will then have two values for that annual variable.

I thought that is post was part of the solution to my problem, but it seems that my issue may be "terminal"
http://www.phidot.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1962&p=5871&hilit=session+mask+covariate#p5871

Is it still terminal or can this now be coded? I had envisioned using a list of sessions and masks in my secr.fit call to get around this?

Cheers,
Clayton

Further googling revealed that this was recently solved in the new 'secr' release, and in this vignette:

http://www.otago.ac.nz/density/pdfs/sec ... ession.pdf

"As an alternative to a single spatial data source, the spatialdata argument may be a list of spatial data sources, one per mask, in the order of the sessions in the corresponding capthist object."
