If I understand your question correctly, (i) you're using MARK, and (ii) you are wondering if you can have MARK create the temporary fies to some specific directory.
If correct then...possibly -- MARK defaults to creating the temporary files it uses in the same directory as the .inp file. However, you can change not only the results file name, but also the directory. For examle, I might have the dipper.inp file in
D:\main\dipper\ED_MALES.INP
and have the results file created somewhere else:
c:\users\bob\Desktop\ED_MALES.DBF
[There is an equivalent for running the MARK executable from the command line i=<inp file> o=<wherever you want the output to go>.]
You have to make sure you have read/write permissions in the 'ouput' directory. If you do, this is likely to work (although network drives can be a problem, unless you have a fair understanding about how they work).
