Sure, that much I know, but the OP concerned a BACI comparison of abundance. Unless there is some gain in precision/unbiasedness of N for either primry period in a 2 primary RD, I see no advantage, and its a heck of a lot more work than simply running a closed abundance estimator on both primaries separately.
