Dear Forum,
I have wing and radio tagged juvenile birds (before they fledged) in four different years 2006-2010 to know postfledging survival during dependence period prior to disersal.
We search them different time inverval in different years.
In 2006, search interval was every 4 four days up 30 days after fledging.
In 2007 every week upto 40 days (few of chicks search interval was every 10 days)
In 2008 search made for some chiks every week and for some chicks 10 days interval. so on..
I have arranged them for analysis with CJS model (for weekly survival) and to do so, juveniles which search every week upto four weeks and recorded as seen or not seen. (as per CJS format requirement). Now I am interested with weekly survival rate. But
By doing this, I loosing about half of the data (chicks data) as only half of chicks search weekly upto four weeks. Some of the chicks did not search first week after fledging but seach after wards every weeks and some of chicks search first week but not in 2nd week and then search after wards. That's why I am loosing data which are not search every weeks over four weeks.
Is there any other mehtods of survival analysis, I can use except CJS and use all of my data.
Here I would like to mention that I have reach Cooch and White "A Gentle Introduction" upto chapter 16.
It will be much appreciated if any one kindly answer me.
Regards
