Batch processing with RMark

Postby jlaufenb » Fri Aug 22, 2008 2:46 pm

I need to generate multiple (~100) random subsets of my full mark-recapture dataset for each of several different sampling scenarios and analyze each subset with an a priori set of candidate closed population models. I have RTFM and know that I can write a script, using RMark, for a set of models that can be re-run with out changing anything other than the input dataset. However, I have hit a dead end as far as figuring out how to batch process on the order of several hundred input datasets. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this or know of any resources that are helpful?

Batch processing with RMark

I can see the utility of what you're referring to. I don't think it would be too difficult to wrap the function call in a loop where you iterate the data set to be analyzed. The real bugger would be in aggregating results, or the pieces of the results, that you want. Things could get messy fast.
