Figures/plots used in manuscripts w/ nest survival?

Postby chasingbirds » Tue Sep 14, 2021 10:53 am

Hi all,
I have kind of an odd question. I am curious if anyone has any tips or tricks they use when creating figures/plots in rMark for manuscripts. I'm in the process of switching from analysis to writing, and though I've seen others submit figures to papers on nest survival, I'm wondering if anyone here has anything specific on submitting nest survival plots/figures to manuscripts.

Specifically, I am working with nest survival along an elevation gradient and I've run my models with DSR and time, NestAge, elevation, precipitation and temperature. I've plotted top models (ex. NestAge on the x-axis and the DSR with 95% CI on the y-axis) but I'm just writing here to confirm I'm not missing something.

I've skimmed through the MARK for nest survival PDF but I'm unfortunately using RMark, so the figures that are included (with multiple lines, they look very clean) aren't what I'm working with.

Any advice would be great! I'm hoping I am asking this question in the right place.

Thanks!

You don't have to use RMark and even if you did, you can export the models to MARK and use whatever plotting in MARK that you are referring to. The mallard example in RMark which was written by Jay Rotella has some examples of plots using ggplot.
