trapping RMARK errors and keeping simulations running

Postby mconner » Wed Sep 19, 2018 6:10 pm

Greetings: We are running simulations in the logit normal mark-resight model, and at low population sizes and low resight, we get some simulations that bomb in MARK and RMARK issues the error message below and then the stops the simulations. We want the simulations to continue, but can't figure out how to 'trap' the count of error messages and then have RMARK continue to the next simulation.

Thanks for any suggestions. Mary

MARK did not run properly. If error message was not shown, look at most recent .out file

Model output is not available in R. Check contents of mark002.out

Error in matrix(real[model$pims[[parameter]][[j]]$pim], nrow = dim(model$pims[[parameter]][[j]]$pim)[1]) :
'data' must be of a vector type, was 'NULL'
