IEEE exception error from mark

Postby jlaake » Wed Sep 02, 2015 5:54 pm

I just got the following question from an RMark user.

I have just downloaded and started using RMark version 2.1.13. I am getting the following message after running CJS models (it happens for many models):

Note: The following floating-point exceptions are signalling: IEEE_INVALID_FLAG

This is something I have not seen before. Despite the note, I am getting a model output and meaningful parameter estimates. Is there any concern related to this message?

This message comes from mark64.exe but not from mark32.exe. If you run RMark from 64 bit R it will run mark64.exe by default and if you run RMark from 32 bit R it will run mark32.exe. You can over-ride that by
renaming mark32.exe to mark.exe in the MARK directory and it will run the 32 bit version even if your run RMark from R64. Gary is aware of the message and said it is not a concern.
