For all you multi-state modelers out there working with big problems that take awhile to run, the new grfortran versions of mark.exe Gary created will be a big improvement for you. On just one of my runs using simulated annealing, the execution time went from 36 minutes to 10 minutes using 7 of my 8 processors. Beware your fan will run hard keeping the processors cool. You can set the number of processors it uses with the new threads argument in v2.1.2 which passes it to mark.
