Poisson log-normal mark–resight model - no output

Postby Shooper » Tue Oct 21, 2025 3:31 pm

Good afternoon,

I have the MARK input file (.inp) from a previously published Poisson log-normal mark-resight model. When I run the model the output is blank and there are no results in the file. It was suggested by a colleague who has regularly worked in MARK in the past is also unable to get the model to run and suggested posting here because there is no error output. He suggested it may be a software issued as we were unable to run one of the example files in the documentation, but am able to have other models such as the dipper example work.

I am running the software on a Windows 10 desktop with 64 GB of RAM and 20 cores. No other software is running.

Thank you.

I'm not sure if this related but may be. Fairly recently I had to remove the time intervals part of the .inp file that I create in RMark because it was causing MARK to crash. Since it is not needed I simply removed it and everything runs fine. Gary may have to address this. If you happen to be using RMark let me know because I have a version on my google drive that contains the fix that has NOT been released on CRAN.
