Courtesy of Chris Rota and his lab at WVU, there is a new chapter in the MARK book -- Chapter 22. It covers multi-species occupancy models, focussing on Chris' fairly general approach which doesn't make conditional assumptions about 'dominance hierarchies' among species. What is particularly interesting is that his chapter presents an example with >2 species, which I wasn't even aware was possible. Kudos for Gary for tricking MARK into handling the model by a clever manipulation of a more primitive data type.
At any rate, Chapter 22 should be considered as 'near final', but leaning toward 'draft'. At some point,, the other multi-species occupancy models in MARK will be added to the same chapter.
