I have recently changed computers and have had to install Mark (v 6.1) on my new computer. I transferred all files over to the new computer which included a project I was working on in Mark. The associated files were the DBF and FPT files. I am now ready to complete the project and went back into Mark and opened the DBF file to build the last few models. I build the model in the PIMs window and then tell Mark to run current model. I then get the following box that pops up with the message: Could not reindex H:\My Docs\xx\xx\xx\xx.DBF, which is the path to the DBF file. I then click ok and Mark goes through a sequence of error codes that have no discernible message.

I have tried using the example DBF files provided in the download and get the same message which makes me think it isn't the DBF file for my project. I have admin rights to the various folders where Mark and associated files are saved so I don't think that is an issue.

I am using Windows XP with service pack 3.

Any help would be appreciated!

I am curious to know if you have resolved this problem as I am new to MARK and have experienced this error message everytime I set up and run a new model (and I'm working with the test input data and the manual). The first time I go to Run a new scenario the whole programme crashes (as you descried) but when I re-start, re-enter the information and press Run it works.

THANKS.

I had it too, and solved when I removed a '!' from the folder name in which my files were located. So probably, Mark can't handle weird characters in paths.

Great tip! I should probably add it to the MARK FAQ.
