Problem with individual covariate plot in MARK

Hi, I am currently performing nest survival analysis in Mark. I want to plot individual covariates and export the results to Excel in order to have the confidence intervals according to the ''Delta method''. However, when plotting the relationship, I receive an error message :

Error Code : 30 [ ]
Subsystem: BASE
Operation: =, Arg:NIL, Type:NIL Function:MUL
Argument : 6
Argument Number: 2
Requested type: Numeric
CallStack: DISPLAY_RESULTS: INDIVIDUALCOVARIATEPLOT (Line:276)
APP:START (Line:855)
START (Line:6)

I have windows 7 and Excel 2010. I have read another topic on this forum stating that Excel 2007 needed to be checked in the preferences box. So I did that, I removed all .tmp files, installed the latest version of MARK, rebooted my computer and I also tried to move my .dbf file in another location but I am still getting this error code when plotting individual covariates...

Anyone having ideas how to solve this ?

Thank you

Jeff

Hi,
I am in a very similar situation.
The only difference is that I am doing a CJS analysis but for the rest is just the same, same identical message (except the line's numbers), same OS, same excel version.
Any solution to this?

Thank you

I have just tried with another PC whose OS is Windows XP.
Just the same result.

I have just tried to use the indcov1.inp with the examples of Chapther 11 to visualize the functional relationship with individual covariates and I still get the same error windows that finally makes the software abort.
My MARK version is the one that is currently downloadable (6.1) and my OS is Windows 7.
I would have liked to try with older setups of MARK but I have been not able to find one.

I would really appreciate any help, suggestion on this.

Hi,

Thanks to Gary White who tried my DBF on his computer (and it works properly) the cause of this problem came out.
The problem simply arises from the decimal setting of your computer. In my case, European setting, decimals were specified by comas (instead of dots).
In Windows 7 you may fix it by changing (temporarily) this in: Control Panel>Region and Language>Addition Settings.
