Problem with single season

Postby S_watzel » Fri Dec 07, 2012 5:06 pm

Hello,

I'm using Presence to run models to determine bird occupancy and detection.
I am running Single Season models on the lastest version (5.3). There is no error in the matrix and no error message. However, Presence stops working before running the model. My file has 1080 lines and 14 covariates. Any ideas what might be the issue?

Thank you!

Hi Stephany,

It's hard to tell without seeing the data. Can you email me your input file (xxxx.pao)?

Stephany,

I looked at your input file and it's missing 2 lines at the end, one with the number of surveys per season, and one with the title. How did you create the file? Did you edit it after creating it in PRESENCE?

You can fix the file by opening it in notepad and adding a line with a ''4" (for the number of surveys per season, and don't enter the quotes) and a line with a title for the data. I will modify the next version of PRESENCE to proceed with default values for these in case it happens again.
