This has happened to me on 2 separate computers, in both PRESENCE 2.4 and 3.1, even following reinstall. When I initiate the 'Setup Numerical Estimation Run' for a multi-species model, 4 of the 6 tabs are blank (those which should read (Detection B), (Detection A*), (Detection B*) and (Detection A* B*)), contrary to how they appear in Chapter 14 of the book. Anyone else encountered this problem? Any advice on how to fix it?

Hi Andrew,

Originally, I think I had those parameters (pA,pB,rA,rBA,rBa) in different tabs, but later realized that this prevented the possibility of constraining them to be equal to each other, or share common intercept/slope parameters. So, I moved all detection parameters to the detection tab and the other 4 tabs are not needed. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks Jim. For further clarification, the final output parameter (at the bottom of the output file), called 'delta', is equivalent to the species overlap, where delta=1 is no difference from expected, <1 is less overlap than expected and >1 is more than expected? I ask because this same parameter is variously called gamma and lambda in other sources, including in the PRESENCE book.

The 'delta' parameter is the one defined on pg. 236 of the book: "delta is the SIF for detection probabilities...values less than 1 suggest it is less likely to detect both species in a survey than if the species were detected independently, while values greater than 1 suggest that it is more likely to detect both species."
