Hi - I'm working with the multi-season correlated detection model in PRESENCE. The Hines et al. (2014) manuscript states that:
pi = Pr(species local presence in unsurveyed replicate 0 | sample unit i occupied.
The PRESENCE output contains a derived parameter defined as:
th0(1) = th0pi*th0 + (1-th0pi)*th1 = Pr(1st segment is used),
which I assume is conditional only on site occupancy at that time period.
Is th0pi the probability that a site was available in both segment 0 and 1 given occupancy, or something else?
Thank you.
