Here is some preliminary (very preliminary) travel & accomodation information to help with the various steps in planning your visit to Pescara.

hotel

The EURING 2009 Analytical Meeting & Workshop will take place in the Serena Majestic hotel.

Currently negotiated rates (per person, full board) for the meetings are:

  • full board double room: Euro 48,00
  • single rooom supplement: Euro 18,00
  • half board reduction: Euro 3,00
Reservations and deposit to secure a room at these rates must be made prior to August 27, 2009. Use this form which can be completed and FAXed to the hotel.

air & rail

We anticipate most registrants will either fly directly to

  • Pescara (information on the Pescara airport can be found here)
  • Ancona (approximately 200 km north of Pescara - there are good rail connections between Ancona and Pescara; information on the Ancona airport can be found here, and on rail connections here
  • Rome - there are fast bus connections (ca. 2.5 hrs) between Rome and Pescara. During daylight hours, this is an excellent opportunity for sightseeing as the route traverses the Appennines. Bus timetables can be found here.
