Welcome to the EURING 2003 Technical Meeting web site. EURING 2003, scheduled for October 5-12, 2003, in Radolfzell, Germany, will focus on the development, understanding and integration of new methodologies in the analysis of ringing data.

The various sessions of the meeting are structured to reflect the depth and breadth of work being done in this area, and are focused on the following areas:

  1. Population dynamics
  2. migration and dispersal
  3. monitoring and decision making
  4. life-history theory & evolutionary biology
  5. population size estimation
  6. random effects models
  7. multistate models
  8. methodological advances
There will also be a number of short-courses/special sessions offered to provide some level of basic instruction in some of the newer ideas which may not yet be widely disemminated. A more detailed description of the program can be found here
