The following is a list of answers to frequently asked questions concerning EURING 2003. If you can't find you answer here, then try (i) searching the EURING website, or (ii) sending e.mail to the relevant contact person.
- Can I still submit an abstract for the meeting?
- In general, most sessions are full, but you are free to contact the chair(s) of a particular session.
- How do I register for the meeting?
- Final details of the registration process (meeting fees, hotels, and so forth) are still being worked out. The goal is to have all of the registration (and related) materials online on this website by the end of April.
- I'm giving a talk - do I bring slides, my own laptop, or something else?
- For EURING 2003, we're anticipating that all talks will be 'electronic' (PowerPoint, or the equivalent). Talks will be uploaded to a common directory (via this website) prior to the meeting. The uploaded talks will be brought, collectively, to the meeting, and mounted on a common comuter. We've decided to do this to avoid the complications of multiple machines, software issues, and so forth. Of course, you're strongly advised to bring a back-up version of your talk, just in case.
- I'm presenting a paper - do I need to bring the completed MS with me to the meeting?
- Yes. No paper, no talk. While this might sound a bit harsh, it is done in the interests of ensuring a very high quality meeting, and follows the standard set at the last EURING.
